| We will set up a project design meeting (via phone or in person) to discuss the details of your project. |
2. Determine Montage Duration:
| For every 30 photos, a 3 to 4 minute song can be played. | |
| For every 50 photos, there will be at least 5 minutes worth of montage. | |
| If you will be showing your montage to a large group and are concerned with the montage duration, plan for the | |
| montage to be 15 minutes or less. A 15 minute montage will display up to 150 photos. |
3. Select Photos and Video Clips:
| Non-digital Photo (up to 8" x 10") - 35mm print, 35mm negatives, 35mm slides, instant photos | |
| Digital Photo (at least 300 KB) - .jpg, .gif, .png, .tif, .bmp | |
| Paper Media (up to 8" x 10") - certificates, announcements, invitations, diplomas, newspaper clippings, etc... | |
| Analog Video - VHS, VHS-C, Video8 | |
| Digital Video Media - Digital8, MiniDV, DVD | |
| Digital Video Files - avi, asf, mov, mpg, mpeg, mpe, m2v, dlx, gif, flm, wmv | |
| Note: If a photo was taken with a digital camera, then provide me with the original digital file at its original resolution. | |
| If a photo was taken with a 35mm camera or with a Polaroid camera, then provide me with the original hard copy print of the photo. | ||
| Note: Do not crop photos, neither digitally nor physically. |
4. Arrange Photos and Video Clips:
| Sequence numbering is 001, 002, 003, etc.... | |
| For non-digital images, place a sticky Post-It Note with the appropriate sequence number on the back of each photo. | |
| For digital images, rename each photo file with the appropriate sequence number. | |
| For video clips, note the stop and start time of each video clip. Also note the placement of the clip within the | |
| montage. | ||
| Note: An additional fee may be applied to your order if the photos are not organized per these instructions. |
5. Select Music:
| Use the following guidelines to help you select music for your montage: | |
| 1) for every 30 photos select one 3-4 minute song or 2) for every 50 photos select 5 minutes worth of music | ||
| A song does not have to be played in its entirety. I can easily piece partial songs together, creating a smooth | |
| musical flow. For songs that will not be played in their entirety, please note the start and stop time of the song. | ||
| If you wish to provide me with the music, you must provide me with an original copy of the CD. | |
| If you do not have an original copy of the CD, I will purchase the music at no additional cost to you. Please provide | |
| me with the song title and artist. |
6. Determine Title Pages and Text Captions:
| Choose text for the DVD cover. | |
| Choose text for the intro slide. | |
| Choose text for the outro slide. | |
| Choose text for the title pages introducing each section of your montage. | |
| Choose text for all captions that you would like displayed with specific photos. |
7. Choose Photo for DVD Case and DVD Menu:
| Select a photo which will be used for both the DVD case and the DVD menu. |
8. Project Design Meeting:
| We will meet at my location to discuss the details of your project and complete an order form which will document all | |
| of your project details. The address of my location will be provided to you when we schedule the project design meeting. | ||
| I will show you all of the themes and backgrounds and special effects that can be used in your project, and you will | |
| decide on these features at this meeting. | ||
| I will collect all of your photos and video and music. | |
| A price quote will be determined and payment will be collected. | |
| If you are not in the DFW area, you can mail me your materials and payment and we can discuss the details of your | |
| project via phone. The address to mail your materials and payment will be provided to you when we schedule the project design meeting. |
9. Production Time:
| Project can be completed 21 days after receipt of materials. | |
| Memorial montages can be completed 48 hours after receipt of materials. | |
| Rush orders are accepted. |
10. Project Preview:
| After completing your project, I will contact you via phone and/or email to notify you of a secure link where you can | |
| preview your montage. | ||
| When you have previewed your montage, we will work together making any necessary changes to your project until | |
| you are completely satisfied. |
11. Project Completion:
| I will contact you via phone and/or email to notify you of the project completion. | |
| You will be able to pick up your project at my location. You will receive your montage DVD, any additional DVD | |
| copies, photo CD, and all of your original materials (photos, video, music). | ||
| I can also mail your project to you via US Postal Service Priority Mail. You will receive your montage DVD, any | |
| additional DVD copies, photo CD, and all of your original materials (photos, video, music). The shipping and handling cost will be applied to your order total. |
